- Winter Storm Warning in effect from December 22, 07:00 PM EST until December 23, 05:00 PM EST

- Hazards: strong winds/wind chills and snow
- Timing: onset of hazardous weather is holding steady – the expected timeframe is during overnight hours tonight into early tomorrow morning (Friday) – see graphic below
- Impacts: Travel, frostbite, and potentially power outages due to winds
Rain will quickly change to snow Thursday evening into Thursday night as arctic air rushes in. The rapid drop in temperatures poses the risk for a flash freeze, especially as rain changes to snow, with a several hour period of moderate snowfall possible.
Currently, the strongest winds are anticipated during the daytime hours on Friday.
