Maugans Community Park is located at the former Buckeye Valley West school site, 61 N. 3rd St., Ostrander. It is named for Hobart and Lenore Maugans. The Maugans were lifelong residents of Ostrander, members of the Mill Creek Baptist Chruch, Ostrander Business Association, Farm Bureau, Moose Lodge of Delware, Scioto Township Fire Department, and the Ostrander Senior Citizens group. Hobart served 24 years on the Village Council, first as a council member and then as mayor. This park is dedicated to the service of the Maugans family and the activities and achievements that greatly influenced and enriched our community.
