Committees

There are various committees in which we are looking for residents to be involved. Contact us for more information if you wish to volunteer.

P&Z is essential in directing the community’s growth, development, and land use. The commission’s main goal is to oversee and regulate physical development following established zoning laws, land use plans, and the village’s long-term objectives. They review and provide recommendations on zoning amendments, site plans, subdivisions, and other development proposals, ensuring compliance with the village’s zoning regulations and comprehensive plan.

P&Z meetings are generally held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00PM at the Jacob C. Ostrander Community Center – 19 S. Main Street.

Please verify meeting dates on the Village Calendar – some meetings move due to holidays.

Agenda & Minutes

The Village of Ostrander Records Commission is established by Ohio Revised Code section 149.38. The Commission includes the Mayor, as chairperson, the Fiscal Officer, the Chief Legal Counsel, and a citizen appointed by the Mayor. The Commission is required to meet at least twice every year, but may meet anytime upon the call of the Mayor.

The function of the Village of Ostrander Records Commission is to provide rules for the retention and disposal of records of the Village, and to review Applications for One-Time Disposal of Obsolete Records (RC-1) and Schedules of Records Retention and Disposition (RC-2). The Commission, at any time, may review any schedule it has previously approved and may revise that schedule accordingly. Members also strive to protect and safeguard the records created by the Village and/or committees for public access and for long-term preservation and maintenance.
