From September 12th to September 15th, 2024, the Wall That Heals Ohio event drew crowds to Ostrander and Havener Park in Delaware offering a powerful opportunity for attendees to honor and reflect on the sacrifices of Vietnam veterans. An escort passed through the village, allowing the community to show their support and catch a glimpse of the Wall, which later welcomed thousands at its location in the Havener Park.
Please read more about the event in our blog post here.
On Thursday, September 5th, 2024, the annual fall fundraising event organized by the OCA was held at Leed’s Farm. It was a resounding success – more money was raised than the previous year. The funds go towards our lovely 4th of July firework display. Thank you to all who attended in support of our community!
Last week’s “Home of the Brave” 4th of July celebration was a success! Thank you to everyone who attended and participated. We hope you had a lovely time celebrating our great nation’s independence! For more photos, visit the Ostrander Civic Assocation Facebook page here.
On Saturday, June 8th, 2024 the official commemoration ceremony of the Maugans Community Park pavilion was held. Speakers were Ostrander village council members Pam Walker and Amy Margraff, as well as Muriel Byers from the Ostrander Senior Citizens group. Thank you to everyone who attended this special event. The pavilion is the most recent addition to Maugans Park, along with the Gaga Ball pit and two playgrounds. It is perfect for a picnic or party and can be reserved by filling out the form on the reservations page (while reservations are not required, they are encouraged!).
