I am proud to say that I have served the Village of Ostrander in one capacity or another for the past 12 years. I am proud of the achievements and growth of the village during that time. I am also proud to have served with so many dedicated people.
Today I am announcing my resignation as Mayor effective later this month. This is not the way I had envisioned ending my tenure but due to personal reasons, I must. I have discussed this decision with President Greasamar, who will assume the role of Mayor, and I am completely confident that the village will be in good hands with his leadership. There will be an election next year to formally fill my seat and I fully endorse Chris Greasamar for that role. Although I am resigning at the end of the month, Chris will take over many duties immediately.
I appreciate the support and the trust you have all placed on me being in a leadership role of our town over the past 12 years but it is time I bid you all farewell. I will still be involved in the community but now as an active resident. A village like ours needs a lot of people to be involved to make it the best it can be, so I urge everyone to please get involved and do what you can for our community.
I thank you all for allowing me to serve.
